2 Bedroom Lodge, in Devon. 1 Double Room and 1 Twin

Beckford Lodge is a well appointed, detached 2 bedroom property within the grounds of Beckford Cottage, situated in the beautiful Yarty Valley, 4 miles from Axminster (train station and bus stops).

We take bookings from Saturday to Saturday. The nearest village is Stockland, 2 miles away and the Lodge is almost equidistant between Stockland, Dalwood, Kilmington and Membury.

There are good local pubs and many lovely walks. If you want to get away from it all, Beckford Lodge is the place for you. There is much wildlife in the extensive gardens and along the half mile stretch of private riverside.

We are close to Lyme Regis, Branscombe, Beer, Sidmouth and Honiton. There is a fantastic and extremely well stocked farm shop open 7 days a week only 2 miles away and we are just 7 miles from the sea.

Centrally heated, washing machine, cot available if required. Well behaved dogs welcome by arrangement. No smoking.

A bijou, well appointed cottage set in wonderful gardens – giving way to the ‘wild’ section along the river. Ideal for dog owners, nature lovers or those just seeking some rural peace.

Handy for popular locations like Axmouth, Seaton, Beer and Branscombe.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Lodge. We had everything we needed and more for our little family. The bedrooms are so comfortable and all very clean throughout. Issy and William are wonderful hosts and our girls (Age 3 and 6) loved the magical very large gardens, as did we! They especially enjoyed meeting the hosts’ 2 beautiful, friendly dogs. Beautiful countryside views, a great base to explore, a pure delight! Thank you so much Issy and William, and the lemon drizzle cake was tasty too! Highly recommend and hope to return some day.

    Notes on accommodation: The River Yarty is relatively small and is normally a tranquil stream, great for paddling and messing about. However, after heavy and prolonged rain, like most rivers, it becomes very fast flowing. The lodge is set well above the river (some 50 yards). Children must be supervised when near the river.

    Outside: The lodge has its own small enclosed garden to the rear, with garden furniture (table and 4 chairs) and a barbeque. There is a patio to the front with a pub garden style table and parasol. Guests are welcome to enjoy the extensive gardens of Beckford Cottage.

    Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen included in price, changed weekly unless requested more frequently (small additional charge). Cleaned weekly.
